Wafo is a graduate of Siraba School and Piébougou who we are supporting as she completes her last year of a nursing certificate in Ouéléssébougou. Wafo has helped in the annual Clinics provided in Dagabo, and once she finishes her program will return bi-monthly to Dagabo to check up on the students, pregnant mothers, and elders. She is training for a degree in labor and delivery, and hopes to find permanent work in the larger village, but also wants to give back to her home community of Dagabo. Wafo was inspired by the doctors and nurses who’ve run clinics in Dagabo, which planted the seed of the idea that such a future could be hers. We’re proud of the dedication and hard work she is putting in to making this dream real, and she is a source of inspiration to her peers.
